TOPSIE

Sometime ago, i wrote an article on having finished my course work and exams for my masters programme and how i was given my most dreaded lecturer as supervisor. Since then, i had been going back and forth to get a project topic approved. It has not been funny at all. Up until last week, he has rejected about 25 project topics i had taken to him and had refused to meet with me to tell me why he rejected them.

Finally, last week, i went to the departmental office only to discover a topic had been approved. This was after i had made several trips to see the faculty advisor who helped me restructure some of the fresh topics i took to her.

Now, i’m faced with the task of proceeding to do research and writing on the topic. That seems like a really tall order for me; i’m trying to overcome the inertia of starting. It’s been a long wait and the zeal i had in commencing the task seems to have waned.

But whether i like it or not, i have to start, and finish……
