Going…..

Waoh! Time really does fly. The first quarter of 2009 is gone already. Yesterday was the 1st of April, a day popularly called April fools day. That’s the day that has been set aside for the fool who believes there is no God :-) That was a joke i saw in my email sometime ago.

Now to Business. When last did you look at the goals you wrote at the beginning of the year? Where is it? Is it easily assessible? Are you on track? Time is essential; and the division into months is a fantastic way to measure and track progress and also be able to strategize. The actions you’re involved in is important, even when you’re complaining that you’re not making progress. People complain that business is slow when they’re sitting indoors, waiting for walk-in customers. Achieving your goals involves taking action, doing something. It’s important that we don’t spare ourselves as far as doing our part in achieving our goals is concerned.

Discipline is another key factor to take note of in focusing to achieving your goal. For example, a person who has the goal of becoming a world class athlete should not still be turning lazily in his bed at 8am. You don’t have to do what everyone is doing. Do what you must do to achieve your goal. Go the extra mile, stay up late, read more, put in more time and effort, give more, pray more, seek God’s face more, you don’t always have to feel like it. The results are always worth it.

I’m excited at this new quarter, it’s another opportunity for me to reposition to achieve. I’m aware that if it must be, it’s up to me. I’m making the move, staying with it, until I get the desired result. I like a saying I heard yesterday:

“I will focus on my focus till I become a focus”

I wish you a fantastic month ahead. Moreso, it’s a month that we celebrate christ’s resurrection. I pray that this resurrection power will cause to come alive, everything that was known as dead before. Cheers!

  1. You are right, I have been thinking…the first quarter have gone, I know I have not achieved all I set out to, one would need to buckle up for the next quarter, this new slate and new opportunity.

  3. At the beggining of the year, i set an early goal and commited my self to accopmlishing the other goals. So far so good.

    Please tell chairman to blog oh…..Strike is not allowed…..lol

  4. Great stuff. It’s funny how we set goals only for us to wonder why we didn’t make it at the end of the year.
    I think every Quarter should serve as a performance tracking moment where we check our goals against our performance.
    I’just concluded mine, and I’m gearing up to speed my performance.

    In this month I added a year again and my prayer continues to be ‘Oh Lord help us to number my days that I may apply my heart unto wisdom.’ Every day of our life counts to the accomplishment of our destiny no matter how significant it seems.
